Imagine you are a restaurant owner and you come across a beautifully designed website. You think to yourself, "It would greatly help my business if I could have a website like this!" So, you upload a screenshot of this website to a freelancing platform. In just a few seconds, it gives you a list of people who can create exactly what you want. Wouldn't it be fantastic if this were real?
The issues:
According to survey, 70% of small business owner spends more than 3 hours to look for a freelancer for a supposedly simple project
And 50% of them spent a few days.
According to survey, after business owner found their, supposedly suitable candidate, 80% of them have been told by the artist that they can’t fulfill the requirements.
Therefore the current recruiting process is inefficient and full of misunderstanding

User Testing
A Initial prototype was created and tested on 2 potential users.
They are asked to use the website to input references then choose a website designer. And an interview was conducted afterwards.
User 1 navigated the site smoothly, and spent most time reading the talent page. Afterwards she said that she would like to see more information about the talent like delivery time.
User 2 had some trouble understanding the concept of the website. But she was able to use it smoothly after a short explanation.

Conclusion
The core mission of this project is to decrease the amount of time people spend on looking for suitable freelancers, and our solution is too design a tool to help users identify key elements of what they are looking for and match them to the talents.
And we successfully done that, because now you can get suitable talents in a few minutes, compare to 2-3 hours, assuming the AI analyzation is reliable.
The next step might be to showcase how this platform can also benefit all freelance artists out there.
